In the last couple of wars, we’ve been close or lost due to the other clan gaining more 3 star attacks then us.  To help with war, it would be helpful to reduce the number of 3 star attacks.

For the newer players or lower level players; do you know you can have a seperate clan war base?  War is a little different then normal attacks.  Resource loot is limited.  As such, trying to protect your resource storage tends to work against you.  Since resource storages have high hitpoints, use them to your advantage; either as a buffer to slow down troops as your towers attack them or even putting them in corners to reduce the possibility of a 3star attack.

Here are some bases that we’ve come across in attacks that have been difficult to 3star, some even 1 star.  Even at TH3 or TH4, you can try to limit lower level attackers by spreading out a little more and placing high hitpoint structures in opposite corners to make 3 star difficult.

Using the Resource storage to block access to TH.  Surrounding with all the defense towers to wreak havoc on low level troops and limit the number of stars gained

Again using the storage to slow down attacking trooops.  Defense towers seperated so attacking troops don’t have access to wipe them out with one wallbreaker attack

Base is spread out making placement difficult for direct attact on Mortar and Wizard Towers.  Not a particularly hard base to attack but due to layout prevents a 3 star attack unless you’re a higher TH with more or faster troops to be able to get through quickly
